So, my friend Christy and I have been maintaining a Helena Bonham Carter fansite (*cough cough*fangirls*cough*) on and off since '07, www.hbcfanclub.com
We've had successes like being approached by Focus Features, Fandango and Reelz Channel for various partnerships, promotions and giveaways.
We haven't been too serious about being on social networking sites a whole lot. We've had a Facebook page with around 80 members but that's about it. But, today I created a twitter page for the site-- @HBCfanclub-- and plan to keep up with the Facebook page better than i have been.
The twitter account is especially exciting because this morning I had received an email from the people at XFINITY saying the wanted to do a giveaway with us. They're supplying us with 3 Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows pt II posters and 3 movie soundtracks to give out in whatever way we want. My site partner and I haven't worked out the details yet, but I think it will be in someway related to the twitter page. I'll be sure to post details about it in the Node if it looks like there's some interest.
So basically, if you have the time and are interested in Helena and her movies (or Tim Burton, Johnny Depp or Harry Potter stuff), please like the Facebook page, follow us on Twitter and poke around the site-- I'd really appreciate it!
