Last night I got to see writer/producer Harve Bennet do a Q&A at the Varsity Theater in Ashland following a screening of Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home (shown on 35mm film provided by Paramount-- so cool).
He spoke about working in Hollywood, how he killed Star Trek, then was hired to work on the franchise, then almost killed Spock. He recalled what it was like to work with Leonard Nimoy and the tiffs they use to get into. It was a great look at the roles of film and television writers and producers along with many great stories about the Star Trek franchise.
